Nate's Ten Favorite Books Read in 2009:
(In order read; not in order of preference)

1. The Righteous Man's Refuge, and Preparation for Suffering, or, The Best Work in the Worst of Times, by John Flavel

John Piper has called John Flavel one of the Redwoods.

2. Tactics: A Game Plan for Discussion Your Christian Convictions, by Greg Koukl

Learn how to think straight and how to help other people realize when they aren't. Recommended!

3. Why We Love the Church, by Kevin DeYoung & Ted Kluck

4. God, Revelation, and Authority: Vol. 2, by Carl F.H. Henry

Advanced.

5. The Abolition of Man, by C.S. Lewis

A terrifying look at what mankind will become if we do not view morality as something that is objective and real.

6. The Jesus Storybook Bible, by Sally Lloyd-Jones

Twice through and Eric still asks to read it every night.  Christ-centered.

7. The Four Loves, by C.S. Lewis

A classic.

8. Conjugal America: On the Public Purposes of Marriage, by Allan Carlson

9. Written on the Heart: The Case for Natural Law, by J. Budziszewski

10. Marriage on Trial: The Case Against Same-Sex Marriage and Parenting, by Glenn T. Stanton & Bill Maier

This isn't just an important response to gay marriage; it is a great description of what marriage and family are supposed to be.
